Diploma of Remedial Massage HLT50307 Print

Your Specialisation

At the Academy, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. This is why we offer a variety of specialisations to suit your interests and to cater for your potential client base. You may do multiple pathways for a number of Academy Diplomas that will list your specialty of choice. These are in addition to your Government-Accredited Remedial Diploma.

Some Diploma specialty subjects can be undertaken anytime they are offered in the timetable, (eg Anma, Reflexology I, Polarity Therapy I and Acupressure I as there are no pre-requisites). You don’t have to complete Certificate IV to start some of the Diploma subjects. Just check the pre-requisites and take the subjects when they are scheduled in the timetable.


Sport Massage Specialisation

This Remedial Diploma pathway caters for those who wish to develop a career as a Sport Massage Therapist. A Sport Massage Therapist uses a combination of techniques to treat athletes and sports people, to promote fitness, good health and to achieve optimum performance and recovery from injury. Graduate with a Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Qualification: Remedial Therapist & Sport Massage Therapist
Duration: Diploma 12 months full-time or part-time equivalent

Myotherapy Specialisation

This Diploma is designed for those who would like to incorporate various Myotherapies into a remedial practice for treating various disorders. This course provides a great complement to those who wish to work with structural therapy & musculoskeletal problems. This course would be very suitable for those who wish to work with physiotherapists or chiropractors. Graduate with a Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Qualification: Remedial Therapist & Remedial Muscular Therapist
Duration: Diploma 12 months full-time or part-time equivalent

Myofascial Release & Craniosacral Therapy

This Remedial Diploma pathway is for those who wish to specialise in using Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy in the treatment of neck, back and structural problems. This course would suit those who wish to work more sensitively, yet deeply, in treating musculoskeletal disorders. This course presents the ultimate in Bodywork Therapies. Graduate with a Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Qualification: Remedial Therapist & Craniosacral Therapist
Duration: Diploma 14 months full-time or part-time equivalent

Polarity Therapy Specialisation

This Diploma is designed for those who wish to work deeply, yet energetically, with the body. For treating many dysfunctions and health complaints. A Polarity Practitioner analyses the magnetic currents of the body, its patterns of movement and utilises polarity techniques to release energy blockages. This course includes many advanced musculoskeletal techniques. Graduate with a Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Qualification: Remedial Therapist & Polarity Therapist
Duration: Diploma 12 months full-time or part-time equivalent

Clinical Therapy Specialisation

This Remedial Diploma is a pathway for those who wish to use a variety of Remedial techniques in clinical practice to treat a variety of complaints. It offers the Remedial Practitioner a holistic approach to clinic. Build your own course choosing electives of choice that will provide skills in areas of specific interest or specialisation! Graduate with a Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Qualification: Remedial Therapist & Clinical Therapist
Duration: Diploma 12 months full-time or part-time equivalent

Acupressure Therapy Specialisation

This Remedial pathway is for those who wish to incorporate an Oriental approach to treating musculoskeletal complaints and a wide variety of health disorders. This course would also suit a holistic practitioner who has an interest in Oriental Therapies or a Sports Therapist that would like to incorporate an Oriental approach. Graduate with a Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Qualification: Remedial Therapist & Acupressure Therapist
Duration: Diploma 12 months full-time or part-time equivalent
